Abagana Prime Minister Celebrates Onowu Abagana Day with N2 Million Widow Empowerment

Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, the traditional Prime Minister of Abagana, marked the 2023 Onowu Abagana Day in a heartwarming ceremony by empowering twenty indigent widows from the community with N2 million.
The event, held on 28th December 2023, saw Dr. Anakwenze presents financial support to each widow individually, recognizing their struggles and offering a helping hand. The recipients included Nneka Okonkwo, Virginia Oguejiofor, Mary Ugokwe, Josephine Amasianya, and many others.
The ceremony opened with Dr. Anakwenze performing prayers of kolanut, a traditional symbol of unity and thanksgiving. He expressed his gratitude to the Igwe of Abagana, HM Obi Sir Patrick Mbamalu Okeke, as well as other dignitaries for their presence.
Dr. Anakwenze spoke passionately about his commitment to helping the less privileged. He stated that his name, Nwachukwu, signifies a divine calling to serve those in need, and the reason his people crowned him “Onowu Abagana”.
His various titles; “Ike Ndi Igbo” bestowed by Eri Kingdom, “Ife Ndi Igbo”, bestowed by Nri Kingdom and “Okala mmadu, Okala mmuo” bestowed by the spirits – serve as testaments to his dedication to service. He ended his speech with a decree for prosperity and well-being for all Igbo people around the world.
Earlier, Chief Ofoedu Clement Mbabuike, Palace Secretary Onowu Abagana, commended Dr. Anakwenze for his consistent use of the Onowu Abagana Day celebration as a platform to uplift lives. He highlighted Dr. Anakwenze’s long history of philanthropy and wished him continued good health and success in his endeavors.
The N2 million empowerment initiative from Dr. Anakwenze serves as a beacon of hope and support for the Abagana widows, demonstrating the power of community and compassion. This act of generosity is certain to be remembered and cherished for years to come.
