We the people

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them

Our Mission

Anakwenze Foundation, we are working toward a world where every person has an opportunity to lead a healthy, productive life, a vision that is as important in our home, state and country as it is around the world.

Anakwenze Foundation was built on the belief that every child and young adult deserve a chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their race, ethnicity, family income, or gender.

Anakwenze Foundation states great education results in college degree or credential and is the ticket to a career that supports a family and fulfills people’s purpose and potential.

Anakwenze Foundation is a place that values fairness, equal opportunity, progress and innovation.  Research shows that students who experience the toxic stress of poverty or bias related to race and gender will have a harder time in school their future in life.

These issues do not just affect our children and young adult, they hurt our economy, our quality of life, and our future. The industries that drive our economy, technology, science, health, agriculture and international trade requires a well-educated workforce.

If we want to keep growing our economy and sustain a vibrant, healthy communities, then we must prepare our students with better educational opportunities from preschool  with a great education system that benefits all students. Anakwenze Foundation is focusing our resources where they are needed most, in the low-income and economic disadvantaged students. When our student succeeds, we all succeed.

Our Vision

Anakwenze Foundation is a global organization, but our roots are here in Southern California, where the Anakwenze family has lived for over two and half decades. Here in Southern California, we invest a lot in improving the community health care system, education from preschool through college and preventing family homelessness.  We strengthen our community engagement, in order to ensure that every child and young adult has a chance to reach their full potential, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or family income.

The path out of poverty begins when the next generation can access quality healthcare and a great education.  In developing countries, we focus on improving people’s health and wellbeing, helping individuals lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty. In the United States, we seek to ensure that all people particularly those with the fewest resources and financially needy can access the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life.
